Interview with Gideon Shalwick: Online Entrepreneur (& Trainee Magician)

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

“It is really like a game – you’ve gotta know the rules of the game, and it takes a while to learn those rules – once you know the rules, you’ve gotta play, you can’t just watch, you can’t just sit on the side and be a spectator and comment – you’ve got to get your hands dirty and start playing…”

The Committed Decision – Mind the Gap!

Thursday, January 21st, 2010

This week I seem to be aware of about ten different paths or programs or challenges or number of days that I could be joining in with, to benefit myself as a human being and also the readers of this blog and the participants in my workshops and groups. They range from the Philosopher’s Notes 50 Day Challenge, to Escaping Mediocrity’s 30 Days to Changing Your Game to Darren Rowse’s 31 Days to Build a Better Blog (that I’ve been on and off doing for ages – Darren, it’s brilliant – maybe I just don’t want it to end!).

Fill yourself with Light and Energy for 2010: a fun Annual Review in 4 Easy Steps…

Saturday, December 19th, 2009

We had fun in my Writers Group this week – we each did our own Annual Review! Yes, I know ‘fun’ and ‘annual review’ aren’t usually words that go in the same sentence. But hey, Chris Guillebeau from The Art of Non-Conformity is at the heart of this one, so they do!

Transforming the Light

"Transforming The Light" oil on canvas - work in progress

Not only was it fun, but the process was surprising and really useful too. Chris does a review every year at this time – he doesn’t wait until the New Year to look forward and make plans for what’s ahead. Last night in my monthly New Moon Energy call with Donna Heath, I learnt some more reasons why this part of December is a great time to plot the year ahead.

Start the week – be yourself !!

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Playing The Prosperity Game last night, (Day 60 – woo-hoo!) I came across this quote from Abraham-Hicks and thought it was so pertinent and uplifting that I’d spread the joy! Have a great week everyone!!

be_yourself

“You just have to be who you are. The best you can do is be certain that you are connected to your Source Energy, and let everybody else figure it out for themselves. Some of them will adore you, some of them will hate you — and none of it has anything to do with you. Choose what feels good to you and leave everybody else to choose what they want. Don’t spend any time saying, “They should choose differently and they’d feel better.” Instead say, “They’re choosing whatever they’re choosing; I’m choosing what I’m choosing, and I’m feeling good while I’m choosing it.” And let that be the end of it.”

Which Groove are you in?

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

People often start out in life glowing with hope and possibility.

Some people achieve some success, do well, get good jobs, tick a lot of their own boxes and everyone else says so too, so they must be ok, mustn’t they?

But often, at some point, either sooner or later, they decide that they are on a certain track and that their only option is to stay on it, see it through, persevere, do the ‘right’ thing (though instinctively, they know it’s not right for them).

Spider in the Bath – it’s a sign!

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

There’s been a spider lurking in our bath for 3 days now. Every time I’ve gone into the bathroom, I’ve been meaning to remove it safely to an outside place, but I never quite got there. Even when I took a shower, which is right next to the bath, I had other things on my mind and the spider remained where it was. Until yesterday, that is.

DSCF0061

Yesterday, I went into the bathroom and there it still was, except this time it was dead. Shrunk, legs all squished up to its body, no movement, no life, nada, nothing. And what did the ever-present, critical voice in the back of my head say?

Goalcards… too simple for words

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

Amazingly, we have reached week 9 (The Sub-Conscious Mind) already in our reading through ‘Think and Grow Rich”. The pace has quickened I feel, as the dynamics of our MasterMind Group have started to take on their own momentum. Between meetings, we all seem to be connecting and contacting each other regularly, dare I say relying on each others’ support, advice and skills.

By now, we’ve all written our goalcards to read to ourselves out loud twice a day as instructed, though some are happier than others with what we’ve written. Personally, I’ve now got two goalcards – how did that happen? One I wrote weeks ago on a tiny card I’ve been carrying around with me.
